REVIEWS
My friend and I signed up for this assuming we would be in a larger group, but we were pleasantly surprised that it ended up being a private lesson for the two of us. Jacquelyn was helpful, positive, and fun to chat with while we all painted. This was a great session for my to get more confident with watercolors!

This Colorado landmark should need no introduction. The Stanley Hotel has been part of Colorado's history since 1909 when it opened on the 4th of July. It has had its years of ups and downs, but things are definitely on the up, as this hotel is open year-round and is a popular wedding venue in addition to being a very famous haunted house. I was hesitant to paint the mountains in the background, thinking that I could not render them simply yet give them a life of their own. I feel like the mount

This is a painting to celebrate spring time and growth, in Colorado. Hanh doesn?t usually paint butterflies and flowers, instead mostly landscapes. However, this painting represents new birth and growth as an artist exploring other subjects. Having a growth mindset is important in honing a skill.

I take my middle school students on extended trips twice a year. We were in Alabama studying in environmental science and also the Civil Rights Movement. While on a bit of downtime, I walked down to the boat dock with my journal and paints. The sky, water, gulls and rocks had light and movement and I pulled out my paints. The sky mostly cerulean blue and a little cobalt blue. The clouds are white paper with mix of cobalt blue and benzimida orange for the grey. Rocks are the same grey mixture and

I belong to a small group of fellow artists that formed during the pandemic to encourage one another while we were unable to take classes. We are still meeting monthly to share our artwork. Each month we have a topic and the month I created this, the topic was ?rain.? I splashed water on my kitchen counter and placed a pair of sunglasses on the water and took it from there!
