My friend and I signed up for this assuming we would be in a larger group, but we were pleasantly surprised that it ended up being a private lesson for the two of us. Jacquelyn was helpful, positive, and fun to chat with while we all painted. This was a great session for my to get more confident with watercolors!
I had a wonderful time! Jacquelyn was terrific and I hope to take another class with her soon!

This is a painting to celebrate spring time and growth, in Colorado. Hanh doesn?t usually paint butterflies and flowers, instead mostly landscapes. However, this painting represents new birth and growth as an artist exploring other subjects. Having a growth mindset is important in honing a skill.

I take my middle school students on extended trips twice a year. We were in Alabama studying in environmental science and also the Civil Rights Movement. While on a bit of downtime, I walked down to the boat dock with my journal and paints. The sky, water, gulls and rocks had light and movement and I pulled out my paints. The sky mostly cerulean blue and a little cobalt blue. The clouds are white paper with mix of cobalt blue and benzimida orange for the grey. Rocks are the same grey mixture and

Casa Bonita has been a beloved Denver landmark for 50 years. While it's not known for its gourmet cuisine, it's a fantastic destination for families with its lively atmosphere, iconic cliff divers, and delicious sopapillas. As a Colorado native and longtime Denver resident (over 35 years!), I'm excited to see the South Park creators bring this classic spot into the new era. I haven't had the chance to visit since the renovation, but it's definitely on my to-do list!As an artist with a pa

This is the first page in my newest watercolor sketchbook. It's an image I created from multiple years of beach going and what I imagined I would look like sitting waiting for the fish.

This little calf had wandered away from her mother and was playing in a pasture, nearing sunset. She looked to be having so much fun as she pranced and bucked around, playing by herself. I call this Patsy In the Pasture. The location is on a ranch in Fort Bend County, Texas This is an 8x8 watercolor on 100 cotton, cold press.

This was simply for fun and therapy. A combination of white space, line and wash and abstract watercolour inspired by a line drawing by Anna Mason, Nature Studio . . . I often do my painting, as I did here, when I?m feeling down and it always, without fail, lifts my spirits . . .

Watercolour on cold pressed paper. Caranguejo means crab in Portuguese. My one year old son loves a song about the tiny little crab. He sings and mimic a crab so I have paited this one for him. I framed it and it is in his bedroom now.
